Baby and Toddler Class in Newcastle – Upon – Tyne!
Hi, I am Ashleigh and I am delighted to bring the multi award winning Adventure Babies to Newcastle! I am so excited to dive into the pages of a story book with you and your little adventurer with our sensory storytelling baby and toddler class in Newcastle.
I am mum to Milo who is 5 years old and Evelyn who is 18 months old! I love being a mum and have enjoyed discovering a whole new world of baby groups when I was on maternity leave with Milo. I am an experienced Reception Teacher and worked as Early Years Foundation Stage Coordinator for 4 years, with responsibilities for enhancing early reading skills amongst young children. I also have a background in Speech and Language Therapy, working as an Assistant to support children with a range of barriers to communication. I loved using stories in my classroom, bringing them to life and creating lots of fun activities so that children can disappear into the book.
I first discovered Adventure Babies when I was looking for a story telling group to take my son to. Milo has loved books from being a baby, enjoying listening to adults reading to him and touching the pages to use all of his senses to experience it. He loves looking at books with Evelyn and she has developed her own love of stories, especially lift the flap books. I jumped at the chance to join the Adventure Babies team and I have built up classes across Newcastle that now run in a range of venues in the area! We also have a fantastic team of class leaders who love taking your little ones on a story adventure!
