Description
Would you like to become an Adventure Babies class leader? We are currently looking for energetic and fun loving class leaders to join our growing team. You need lots of energy, a passion for storytelling and a love for working with babies and young children!
You don’t need to have done this role before: full training, props and equipment, lesson plans, and regular on-going support are all provided. What we do need is a passion for delivering the best sessions that you can with enthusiasm, professionalism and lots of energy!
We are looking for someone to run our Ponteland sessions on Fridays initially. We can offer as little as one morning or a few days depending on your availability including nursery sessions, one-off specials and birthday parties! The job can work around you and it’s a role that fits around family life, commitments and little ones. Some flexibility to cover other classes due to sickness would be appreciated if possible.
We are looking for someone to begin training in April and to begin running classes after Easter. During this training period, you will be required available for 2/3 days each week over a two-week period which can be flexible. You will have the opportunity to view the class set-up and practice activities in preparation for you taking over your own classes. Full support is given and there is plenty of opportunity to build up your confidence at presenting a class and receive direction.
Essential:
Class leaders need to drive and have their own car to fulfil this role and will carry out a physical role carrying equipment and setting up/clearing venues. Your car needs to fit a large kit in it. You will also be required to collect/drop of kit at a designated location or with other class leaders on a weekly basis. You will be a self-employed contractor running the sessions, you will not be employed. Therefore, you will not receive sick pay, holiday pay, maternity leave etc. It will be your responsibility to file your own self-assessment for tax and national insurance purposes. Experience of working with children and some knowledge of child development would be preferable. We want all our parents to feel welcomed and at home in our classes so having a warm, friendly & approachable nature with a high level of professionalism is essential. Smiling, being friendly, open and helpful towards parents is the key to helping them to feel comfortable and at ease during the sessions. Being organised would be an asset to this role. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!
